    Dell Technologies was honored to present the first Dell PolicyHack™ in the state of Arizona on Tuesday, November 19th at the Beus Center for Law and Society. Dell worked alongside the Dell Sales team, local customers, Arizona State University, campus organizations, and nonprofits to target participates that would be interested in brainstorming solutions to the policy challenges that will arise because of emergency technologies. The challenge questions was on “Realizing 2030,” research conducted by Dell Technologies and the Institute for the Future (IFTF), which explored the next era of human-machine partnerships. Dell was joined by a panel of judges comprised of Scott Sudhalter, Regional Sales Director, Dell Technologies; David Guston, Director and Professor at the School for the Future of Innovation in Society, Arizona State University; Di Bowman, Associate Dean, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University; Sasan Poureetezadi, Town of Gilbert CTO; and Eugene Mejia, Town of Gilbert Deputy CTO to hear pitches from all of the hackers.

  • Mexico PolicyHack™

    The Dell Technologies PolicyHack in Mexico was held on Friday, November 15, 2019 in collaboration with the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation of Mexico. The first event of its kind in Mexico, it provided an opportunity for more than 700 people of all ages, and from all Mexican regions, to engage directly with Dell in a “PolicyHack,” aimed to contribute to the reduction of the digital divide and provide public policy solutions to future technology challenges. Participation entailed creating proposals on the use of new technologies to solve everyday problems in their communities on the topics of communications, transportation, sustainability, job readiness, health and education.

    To compete globally we must collaborate regionally! The Cross Border Campus PolicyHack in Santa Teresa, NM was sponsored by Dell Technologies, Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance, and the Border Industrial Association, with stakeholders from both the United States and Mexico. Team One tackled the policy pros and cons facing a cross border industrial campus, while Team Two identified industry clusters that would be well suited for production at the campus. All participants left the event yesterday with a better understanding of how this unique region, composed of three states and two countries, can come together to build a campus for emerging technologies and high value jobs.
